Dentistry deals with only one part of the body, but it is a vast subject unlike others. That’s the reason it is put apart from the other medical subjects.

Dentistry is one of the branches of science that is involved in the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders and conditions of the oral cavity associated with teeth, maxillofacial area and the adjacent and associated structures and their impact on the human body.

The oral cavity is the major dental organ that has various parts and tissues which are dealt separately to treat any infectious condition.
Many specializations are there in the dentistry to treat different problems associated with different parts of oral cavity.
